1. Fighting Turns
After reading the first to steps, you are ready to learn how to fight. However, it is advised that you do get a Sensei and some skills when learning though, because you will be able to learn more by walking the walk. You can find information on basic fighting in the Beginner's Handbook.
2. Holding & Stopping Techniques & Capturing Techniques
All three types of these do different things, and its confusing at times. So this little Chart was made to simplyfy it, look below and post any questions in the Support guild if you have any.
Capture/Confusing Techniques
Confuse/Pacify Skills - The opponent cannot attack, but only defend for a specified number of turns.
Capture Techniques - During the time that the opponent is captured, he cannot use any skills at all, with the exception of his active statics. I
Prevent/Stop Techniques
Stopping/Holding Techniques - Completely stop the opponent from using any skills with the exception of active statics. If you are in a player jump and you capture the opponent successfully, you may escape from the thread with the opponent that you captured as a prisoner. (Prisoner Rules)
Prevent Techniques - Prevent the Opponent from doing a skill or skills before they actually use the skill or skills.
Rule: You may not use the same type of capture/stopping/holding techniques more than once in a turn. I.E. 2 Genjutsu or 2 Ninjutsu Stopping skills in 1 turn. However, you may use up to 1 Genjutsu, 1 Ninjutsu, and 1 Taijutsu Stopping skill in 1 turn.
Genjutsu Rules
Genjutsu are skills that affect the mind, so these skills cannot be defended from like regular ninjutsu. They may only be released or be defended with skills that specifically defend from genjutsu. Remember, that 2 or more stopping/holding genjutsu used in 1 turn is illegal.
3. Equipment Rules
Even though there are many places for Equipment, you can only have one type of each while wearing them! One type of: Armor, Head/Face Piece, Center Piece of Armor, Arm Guards, Leg Guards, Gloves, Pouch, & Boots.
Other than that, you can have as many Throwing Items as you can hold.
