Swordsmanship: Royd is skilled and competent in swordsmanship. Wielding a Daodao scimitar-like sword, Royd is capable of launching swift and deadly strikes that can cut into the likes of even Yamamoto Genryusai while he's fighting in Bankai. Even the quick drawing of his sword can release air pressure strong enough to demolish several houses across a large distance.

Bare-Handed Prowess: Royd is very powerful physical hand-to-hand fighter. At the very least, he is able to fight on par with a patched Kenpachi (before he reached his potential) using only bare-handed skills at some point, and can lift people as heavy and big as Kenpachi off the ground. He's physically strong enough to crush a bunch of Bankai Yamamoto's skeletons that were summoned by South.

Quincy Techniques:
Blut: Royd has a very powerful Blut Vene, as he was able to block a flame slash from Yamamoto's Ryujin Jakka while he was bloodlusted with a bare arm, suffering minor bleeding that did not impede his fighting capabilities. In addition, his Blut Vene was enhanced to be able to withstand the heat from Bankai Yamamoto's West reiatsu, whereas many others would normally be defeated by the heat. His Blut Arterie can allow him to beat even people like Captain Kenpachi (patched) into submission using only his bare fists.

Kirchenlied- Swankt Zwinger: This technique is the single greatest protective magic of Quincy offense and defense. By generating a number of roman numeral-inscribed constructs from the fingers of an outstretched hand, several towering columns of Reishi, shaped like the Quincy Cross, erupt upwards in a circular formation around the practitioner. Anyone who steps foot within the confines of this area will be immediately rent asunder where they stand by the "light of God

Special Power: Royd can transform himself into the exact physical likeness of another person. In doing so, he can replicate the memories and personality of this individual, allowing him to flawlessly impersonate his target.

Hirenkakyu, Reishi Manipulation, and other general techniques available to the Quincy can also be used by him. Royd has a reiatsu level roughly comparable to that of Juha Bach in base, seeing as how Yamamoto was able to locate Royd by reiatsu (recognizing it as Bach's) and did not note any significant differences in quantity of reiatsu. So his reiatsu is significantly greater than the typical Captain's or Sternritter's.

Background: Royd was born along with his older twin brother Loyd, but because they looked so alike, the doctor and nurse who delivered them could not discern which brother was older and which was younger. Hiralously, their parents could not tell them apart either, so does not know truly who was "royd" and who was "loyd". Regardless, the two brothers not only looked exactly like, wore exactly the same clothes, but also had similar personalities, as they were able to copy each other exactly by the time they were five years old. Hopefully, after they turned 12, the Lloyd brothers first began to discover their Quincy abilities. Royd mastered his ability to copy other's memories, mind, and personality until one day, at the age of 21, as he attended college, he was visited by nobody other than His Majesty himself. Royd and Loyd were in awe of the Quincy King, the primordial ancestor of their lineage. Recognizing their powers were bestowed by him, the brothers worshipped him as a god and pledged their lives to him as they were inducted into his army as Sternritters. At no point did the brothers not refer to him as Juha Bach-sama. Royd worked hard as the two brothers were naturally powerful Quincies, and were able to get a hang over things very quickly. Half a year before Juha Bach launched the invasion of Soul Society, Bach had taken particular interest in Royd. He wanted to use Royd's abilities as part of his tactical manuever in the war, and Royd would play a huge role. Royd was overwhelmed with joy, as he had wanted nothing more to be praised by His Majesty. What a honor it was. He allowed Royd to adopt Juha Bach's mind, and it was there did he understand Bach's life, past, intentions, motives, and above all - his heart. He admired Bach's complexity, and vowed to do play the role as a body double. But Royd was not strong enough, for Bach wanted him to be able to fight the Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryusai. So Bach would help Royd train while Royd impersonated Bach in mind and body, teaching him how to fight like him as well as other Quincy techniques. As Royd was a natural, he got the hang of it quickly. Now there was a final step, and Bach used his blood to amplify Bach's power, including giving him a reiatsu reserve that is hardly any different from his, and augmenting his Blut Vene to the max to the point that it could conceivably tank Ryujin Jakka and its flames. This was the best he could do - memories, training, natural ability, and Bach's blood all played a role in building Royd's duty to act as one of the most tyrannical and greatest titans in the history of the world.
