A more direct, and austere Hyuuga may have heavily reprimanded Tekumi the instant he opened up with his plan. Whether his words were literal or figurative, tricking a creature far larger, and stronger than a human being never worked unless the following strike was assuredly lethal.

However, it wasn't as if Etsuko's plan was any better. Had to give her credit for sticking to her guns though, the kikai that the Aburame employed so frequently were certainly frighteningly effective against most things. This time however, there was an important detail she had left out in her thinking.

It goes to stand that mosquitoes are some of the most vile insects on the planet. Existing solely to pilfer the precious blood of their victims, they existed in inexhaustible droves while serving no real good for their environment. Bears, being large mammals were prime targets for such a creature, however, the bears that roamed the forest were not wandering about drained of all their blood for a very good reason.

Piercing their hide to get at their veins beneath was a difficult feat without some serious ability to pierce.

Kikai were definitely a cut above mosquitoes, of that there was no question. But to drain a bear in any amount of time soon enough to actually be effective before the creature caught wind was a different story. Bears were simply not so easily toyed with.

"You can do it faster than that. Simply plug up its eyes and nose with your Kikai instead."

Suggested Hitomi, who knew quite well that the genin she traveled alongside was capable of this. Compared to the prior plan, this one was bound to invite a result quickly, which they would accomplish by immediately depriving the mammal of its two most vital senses out in the wild. Even some Genin could take the creature out from a good distance if it was in such a state.

"I believe Tekumi holds a reputation for being quite skilled with weapons. Perhaps once you debilitate the creature, he can seal the deal with his abilities?"
